First, thank you for taking the time to learn more about Current Consulting Group.
While the name may suggest a larger team, Current is currently led solely by me — Athena. And although this business is independently operated, the level of strategic thinking, creative direction, and operational structure behind the work is anything but small.
I founded Current Consulting Group because I saw a recurring problem: many small businesses are exceptional at what they do, but struggle to communicate that value clearly and consistently online. Strong businesses deserve thoughtful branding, intentional strategy, and systems that support sustainable growth — not just quick fixes or surface-level marketing.
My background is rooted in User Experience Design, with a BFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design and a minor in Graphic Design. UX Design goes far beyond aesthetics. It is rooted in research, psychology, systems thinking, and understanding how people interact with products, platforms, and brands. At its core, it is about creating experiences that feel intuitive, functional, and meaningful.
That foundation shaped the way I approach business today.
Over the years, I’ve worked across startup and mid-sized company environments, collaborating with product teams, developers, stakeholders, and leadership to bring structure to ambiguity. I’ve helped teams establish processes, align execution with vision, and build systems that support both usability and long-term scalability. My role has never been limited to making something “look good” — it has always been about creating clarity and ensuring every decision serves a purpose.
What excites me most is the intersection of strategy and creativity. I enjoy understanding how businesses operate, identifying where friction exists, and refining the experience in a way that strengthens both the brand and the business behind it.
That is ultimately what led me here.
